Drawing on materials and processes rooted in ancient practices, the piece combines ceramic—preserving the memory of its formation—with charred wood, reflecting transformation through combustion. Together, these elements embody both imprint and change, foregrounding the idea that our instinct to make, shape, and leave traces defines us, and that the ordinary often becomes our most telling record.
